Experience
My philosophy on education is that in order to teach, a person must continually learn. Learning begins with an admission that you do not know something. It seems obvious, but it is a basic tenet of learning that most people don't think about. I earned my bachelor's degree at Baldwin Wallace College in Economics and Philosophy, and went on to do my graduate work at Cleveland State University, where I obtained my master's degree in Philosophy. Throughout my years of education, I continually worked as a tutor, in a variety of subjects. I had experiences tutoring in deductive logic, helping learners prepare for their GED test, and having found these so enjoyable, I began my career as a professional tutor. I now have almost a decade of experience in successfully tutoring. The majority of my tutoring experience has been in writing and math, along with helping students prepare for standardized tests, such as the SAT, ACT, PSAT, and others. However, I am capable of tutoring a wide variety of subjects, including reading and writing, various AP courses, science courses, and writing college essays, among others. In my free time, I enjoy online gaming, traveling, and playing ultimate Frisbee.
